Onions, Garlic and that Shallot!
They are in stock now!
Our new season onion sets have just arrived, perfect to be grown as ‘crops in pots’, the veg garden or allotment. Onion sets planted in February are ready to harvest as full sized, homegrown onions in late summer.
We also have a selection of Garlic, which can be planted now. All you have to do is break the bulbs up into cloves and press them into the ground. It really is as easy as that. They will grow and produce what is called wet garlic in early summer, (which has a lighter flavour) or let them carry on growing and you get bulbs of garlic to harvest in late summer.
Shallots are great for cooking. They have a slightly milder flavour than onions, and when planted in February, are ready to harvest on the longest day.
And that, as they say is shallot! (Sorry we couldn’t resist)
