One of the questions we are often asked is where is the best place to put our new greenhouse.
While the greenhouse has to blend into the overall design and look of the garden, (the palette of powder coat options really helps here) it should also be remembered:
If it is sited under conifers or evergreen trees it will be shaded all year round, and this can make growing plants much harder over the winter.
If it is sited under deciduous trees, then winter light is not such an issue, but it will need cleaning from autumn leaves, and may get sticky in the summer, just as cars parked under trees do.
Obviously siting your greenhouse under fruit trees can be an issue with damage from falling fruit.
The best sites are sheltered from strong winds, (although Elite greenhouses are strong) are level, (and must be levelled before building) and away from shade.
